In my latest for Audiomack, I spoke with BAKERSTEEZ about his new project ACTIVE and what his artistry brings to the fore of Jamaica’s music culture. BAKERSTEEZ is part of a collection of artists from Jamaica who are really broadening the horizon and disrupting what people think about the sounds Jamaica is capable of creating. It's less about deviating away from traditional (sometimes it’s not about that at all) and more about how can we diversify the sonic landscape and create something completely authentic and innovative. After watching these artists for years, it’s so great to see where they are now.
