I just read an interesting article on CNBC about why men compared to women are more likely to get noticed by the potential recruiters.
The article said that women are more picky when it comes to the job hunting and they apply to 20% fewer jobs compared to men. Now why is that so?
Because women are more inclined to apply for jobs only if they believe they have met all of the requirements, but men are more likely to apply for jobs after meeting only 60% of the requirements.
Furthermore, the advice to job seekers was if you see a job that you desire but aren't sure you're qualified for it then be willing to stretch yourself and apply regardless.
