I interned at Win-Kel and was tasked on working on the site: https://www.guideqr.com/. It was a interesting and learning experience as I get to learn and enahce my skills with React, JavaScript, CSS, SASS, HTML and Netlify.
One of my tasks was to translate the wireframes that the designers made into code using React, JavaScript, CSS. It was quite the challenging task as I had to strengthen up my CSS since it was quite weak when I first started. I asked the other interns for tips and was recommended to learn a css course from Udemy which also taught SASS. After taking this course, I was able to have a firm grasp on CSS and was able to implement the designs responsively.
Not only did I get to learn these new technologies, but also learned how to communicate with the design team and the manager. Communication is key to know what the designers need and what the client wants. I would ask questions such as if the website is optimal to their standards, tips, and tricks. There would be times when the client would want small fixes that would need to be made.
In conclusion, the internship was a good experience for me and a stepping stone to learn new technologies and working with a variety of people. This project would be one of my proudest ones because it came out nicely along with the help of the designers, and interns.
