After the past 6 years working on data ingestion at Mapbox, I finally made an internal move that I've considered for a long time. As of last week, I'm working on our Orchestration / Release Engineering team, building tooling and systems for our engineers to improve how they build, test, and release their work. 

This morning, I put in my first PR for the team, and my first PR written in Go. Mapbox has been heavily a Node.js shop and certain portions of the company have gravitated to Python, but Go is unique to this team. All around... there's a lot to learn
