Most fedgov and DoD jobs "move at the speed of government". If you're tired of twiddling your thumbs waiting for leadership to review your work in order to give you another tasking, or of switching jobs to escape the boredom of having automated your job to the point that it takes less than an hour a day, why not polywork? Treat contracts like Pokemon -- gotta catch 'em all (so long as the contracts are not in the same space and do not risk any conflict of interest).
