Launched the Developer Relations Maturity Model drafting project
I am building a Developer Relations Maturity Model in Trello. I will be soliciting feedback from other DevRel leaders, DevRel individual contributors, product managers, engineers & founders to ensure accuracy and consider multiple audiences and angles. This work will be curated over time in 2021, and ideally published by early 2022.
The results of this work will cover a variety of audiences and situations, including, but not limited to:
- Founders working DevRel before they can hire, or insightful information on when to hire and how to build an impactful DevRel team
- DevRel contributors who are suddenly promoted, or go after a promotion, and are seeking some clarity on what to focus on and how to expand and learn in their new leadership role.
- Engineers aka developers who want to learn about developer relations & advocacy to shift their career path or to engage more impact-fully with their favorite product teams
- Anyone curious about developer relations and how to best compliment and echo the efforts of your DevRel team cross-functionally.
