Building and maintaining productive, happy teams always comes back to the same thing: Trust.

Being a kinder person is about being honest, good communication and creating safety with those you work with. It's about committing to building trust with them and proving that you can be trusted when the shit hits the fan.

I've put together my advice for how to be a Kind Engineer (and kinder in general) with specific advice on:

* Working better in a remote world
* Communicating with, and being open & honest with your colleagues
* Giving AND receiving feedback
* Creating a sense of safety through being inclusive and embracing failure

Feel free to read it and share it with your coworkers: https://kind.engineering/

This article is my best advice when anyone asks me about creating psychological safety in teams.

"The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem, start by being the first to ask for feedback from your team/peers."

Organised a conference
Hosted a conference
ShortStack was a day-long conference of 10-min Lightning Talks by speakers new and old from all over the world and walks of life. To view the full VoD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4e50RsA3c2E

The aim of the conference was to help people who don't normally have the chance to speak at conferences and give them a platform for their ideas - particularly the traditionally underrepresented.
