I've had my current portfolio for about two years now. I wanted to slim it down, reduce bloat, and rebuild it with basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

I was inspired by Cassidy Williams's lightweight portfolio and am currently working to ship my new one by the end of the month.

I used `inspect element` on her website and started to dig around. I felt that it was important to refrain from a straight copy/paste approach and learn about each function, why it was chosen, and how it worked. So far, it's been a great learning experience.
