Recorded a DJ set
Fun fact: I used to be a DJ. I mixed vinyl at parties, clubs, etc. for over 12 years. I haven't touched records in 10 years and I've missed it.

Today I recorded a little fun 30 minute minimal house session just to shake off the rust. Enjoy if you're into that sort of thing!

I'm trying to put stuff out into the world without overthinking it; go easy on me 🙃

Ran a 10K
Reached a milestone
I ran my first 10K!

I signed up for the Around the Crown 10K after finishing my first 5K race in 2019. Training to overcome asthma and teaching my body how to run at distance has always been something I never thought possible. 10 kilometers, 6.2 miles, is longer than I've ever run before.

Yet, I did it. It was a reminder that you can do hard things.

Spoke on a podcast

A few weeks ago I was invited to speak with @StanfordWiCS on their podcast. Along with @hidrees and @pabloparedes, we discussed ethics, challenges, and design concerns building tech for healthcare.

A pleasure to be in such good company! 🙏

Spoke on a podcast
I love being a part of the Ruby on Rails community and had a pleasure speaking with Jason Swett on his podcast. We talked about working in healthcare, scaling issues, and usability testing.

Spoke on a podcast
I've known Chris Hart for years, so I of course said yes to speaking with him on his company Levvel's podcast. We talked about what role tech plays in healthcare and how to tackle a goal as ambitious as saving 100 million lives.
