When I was young(er!), I'd go through lines and lines of code to personalize my social media. I used CSS to personalize my Livejournal and later my Tumblr. I used HTML to create signatures in fan forums, full of floritures and text that would travel across the screen. Don't get me started on adding music players in places they shouldn't be!
These days, I come across code at work in multiple ways: when players report a crash, I see the crash error code. When I save their progress, I can see their every single in-game item, level, preferences, in thousands of lines of code. And yet I had never learned to (properly) code! So it is time.
