Launched Inokyo AutoCheckout

After 1.5 years of R&D (and fire-fighting the pandemic), we launched the first retail store in the world to be retrofitted with autonomous checkout.

We launched this here in San Francisco at The Epicurean Trader, a boutique grocery store in the heart of Hayes Valley with hundreds of daily shoppers and thousands of products.

This proved the real-world efficacy of our computer vision and software stack, handling a store several orders of magnitude more complex than our competitors and doing so with real customers.

Our UX & design research also paid off. Our patented checkout experience converted 75% of shoppers within the first week, with users choosing to checkout with Inokyo instead of Square. (As a benchmark, typical retail software conversion is roughly 35%-50%).
