Summer 2017 edition of Asymptote is now online! Gathering exclusive work from 27 countries, the new issue is themed “Worlds Within Worlds” and featuring new fiction by master story-teller Mercè Rodoreda, interviews with Kafka translator Michael Hofmann and 2017 Prix Net Art winner Bogosi Sekhukhuni, the first love poems by Nobel frontrunner Ko Un, who poignantly captures the longing of “the world…in want of the world.”, as well as “Visiting a Haunted House,” a piece excerpted from Intan Paramaditha's upcoming novel, Gentayangan: Pilih Sendiri Petualangan Sepatu Merahmu (The Wandering: Choose Your Own Red Shoes Adventure).

On some personal news: I’m so delighted to let you know that this month I've joined Asymptote Journal as an Editor-at-Large for Indonesia, filling a position left vacant by Tiffany Tsao, who now becomes Editor-at-Large for Australia. I will be in charge of this region with fellow Indonesian, Norman Erikson Pasaribu. (Nevertheless, at the same time, I’m still serving idwriters.com

Hope this new issue helps you pass a great week!
