With #Zomato and #10 min deliveries taking the center stage, in our story #33, let’s rewind and see how Domino’s used math to deliver pizzas in under 30 minutes.

#Domino’s incorporated #technology and #math to forecast orders.
Once a customer adds a pizza to the cart, the probability of placing an order is 60%.
If the customer adds an address, the probability rises up to 80%. If the customer reaches the payment page, the probability rose to 95%. By the time the whole payment process is completed, the order is already half-way made.

Dominos spent a year mapping different possibilities. They opened stores in dense localities and had their riders memorize every pothole and traffic light in the city.

Also, the speed of delivery vehicles was set to 45 kmph. Thus, the Domino’s did the unthinkable. They broke the #30-minute barrier.

For Domino’s, it was a compelling value proposition. The #30-min pizza pledge worked wonders for Domino’s. Will a 10 min delivery work for Zomato? - only time can tell!
