I am working for a startup over the summer, and I am making a photography app from scratch. My boss, the founder, wants to translate her expertise in professional photography to a mobile app with filters optimized for people of color. 

I came in knowing nothing about making a photography app, and 5 weeks in, I am happy to say that the prototype of the app not only allows you to apply many high-quality filters, but also allows you to adjust brightness, saturation, exposure, etc. of the images. 

This is the power of the Internet. I was able to go to the depths of GitHub and StackOverflow and find not just effective, but elegant solutions to my problems. 

And I am just getting started!
