I founded the student organization USD Esports (now known as Torero Gaming) at the University of San Diego.
Within only two years it became the largest student organization on campus, during which I served as President; in addition to being the General Manager, Head Coach, and Team Captain of USD Esports Blue, our best League of Legends team.
I led USD Esports Blue to place top 3 across 12 tournaments, half of which were 1st place finishes.
I pushed to become the 2nd student esports organization in the US to be designated an official club sport on-campus while expanding the program from just one to four teams.
I persuaded the Associated Students Budget Committee to grant us $5,000 to build five gaming computers to be used during our club's events and teams' tournaments.
I served as the lead organizer of 30 different club events, in addition to several other events and tournaments I helped organize in the San Diego area.
I am proud to say that the student organization still exists to this day, serving as proof that I am capable of building things to last, as well as proof of my commitment to building a sense of belonging and community everywhere I go.
