Washington Is Awesome

Created this Drone video for a competition showing off Washington State in Pacific Northwest. It is probably one of my very favorite videos ever created. I recently uploaded it to my own channel as it used to be on the Ehang Channel before they took it down.

Generator Relocation
AC Automation

📍 Carrickfergus, County Antrim (Northern Ireland)

AC Automation with what can only be described as an engineering feat in the eyes of a mere photographer!

The transportation of this enormous container, housing a very complicated and expensive generator can only be described as a military-like operation. And the inner-child in me was very giddy to see a very large crane in action up-close, and a supersized flatbed lorry.

Investing in drone equipment and qualifications proved to be very worthwhile, especially as this was all filmed live with one chance to capture shots and footage, plus avoid distracting operators and moving machinery.

Andrew Jackson Cottage and US Rangers Centre
Mid and East Antrim Borough Council

📍 Carrickfergus, County Antrim (Northern Ireland)

A commissioned shot by my local council with a very quick turnaround. Less than 24 hours to take the shot, post-process, print and frame to serve as a gift to a VIP.

I did plan to take the shot using my daily camera, however it isn't the most glamorous of backdrops from eye-level. I opted to use my drone to get this elevated view of the white cottage at sunset, luckily the light was kind that day. This also allowed Carrickfergus Castle to be visible in the distance, and the Knockagh Monument on the hills in the haze of the sun.

I am a stickler for the best image quality possible which is why I was hesitant about using my drone for print photography, but this pit speaks for itself and has definitely changed my perspective (pun intended!).
