Why did i not learn Docker earlier?
Anyway .. still learning but i recommend everyone to give it a run. Even in a VM .. you still have a lot of space to work with but overhead will be masive (keep that in mind)

Just finished a Medium-like blog clone which was done using Next.js, TailwindCSS, Sanity CMS and little bit of TypeScript.

What a fun little project it was! It's a simple blog with comments but I learned how to integrate a third-party system into Next.js build. After months jumping from email marketing to email marketing tool, I think I‘m finally settling down with Flodesk. Spent enoungh time to learn the ins and outs, and instantly had a crush on the simplicity of it.

Nor sure what‘s their business case in offering a 50% discount, but if you want to give it a try, this is my referral link.

Used Rise to create a presentation

A technical writer friend recommneded I check out instructional design in addition to technical writing. He then recommended I check out Rise from Articulate 360. So I started a free trial and converted my instructional manual for how to light charcoal using a chimney starter into an instructional presentation.

Rise is basically a more powerful PowerPoint. Creating the presentation reminded me of using drag-and-drop, WYSIWYG webpage editors.

Feel free to check out my presentation as long as my trial is valid (4 weeks!).

Guest lecture on soft skills for engineering students ✅

We're back to school! Our team has wrapped up two guest lectures/workshops on creativity, problem solving, teamwork, and, in general, the importance of soft skills and good communication in the engineering profession. Hopefully these aspiring entrepreneurs and change-bringers found it helpful!

With a mask mandate and lowered room capacity (it's at 75% right now), we all felt safe in a room with 100+ 😷 Let's all stay safe!
