Community Guidelines

Welcome & Mission

Polywork is community-first by design—it is our mission to empower every community member to create, share, discover, and connect. While we will do everything to ensure your story has a platform, we will also strive to do so in a way that facilitates a safe, inclusive and positive environment.

To protect the integrity of the Polywork community, we would like to define a few universal rules for all members.

Be Decent

We encourage all community members to engage in thoughtful, respectful, and constructive conversation that brings value to the platform.
We ask that you remember every community member is human and that Polywork is a place for people to be themselves free of harassment, bullying, or threats of violence.

Abide by Laws

We require that you keep things legal at the local, federal, and international levels. You should not promote, engage or encourage illegal behavior, illegal content, solicitations, or facilitate in any way a prohibited transaction.

Be Authentic

Part of being you is being, well… you. We ask you are honest with your identity and all representations of you on and off Polywork. Please use your real name and never intentionally attempt to mislead other community members. Impersonating an individual or entity is prohibited. Pseudonyms are allowed on individual basis only.
Authenticity also applies to intellectual property, rights or security. If it’s not yours, don’t use it.

No Spam, Scams, or Malicious Content

All of the content on Polywork is community-generated, and we reserve the right to suspend, remove or moderate community members who post inappropriate or harmful content. Any content, including usernames, that disrupts, interrupts or harms normal activity is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to:

Violence, Threats & Graphic Content
  • We prohibit acts and threats of violence or harm against any individual or group of individuals and do not condone attempts to glorify violence, harm and/or self harm in any form. This also includes acts of violence against animals and the sale of endangered animals.
  • Sexually graphic content, nudity, and content containing sexual violence are expressly prohibited.
Harassment & Discrimination
  • We do not tolerate threats, sexual harassment, lewdness, hate speech, or other displays of bigotry.
  • We do not allow for support or endorsement of organizations or personas that promote hate or violence against civilians and/or any group of people based on protected characteristics.
  • Excessive tagging of other Polywork community members is not allowed.
Interactions with Minors
  • Sexual or suggestive content involving minors is strictly prohibited, including any content that facilitates illegal and/or inappropriate interactions, as well as arranging or planning real-world sexual activity.
  • Providing off-platform contact information with the intent to engage in illegal or harmful activity with a minor individual is also prohibited.
  • Content that depicts, promotes, normalizes, or glorifies grooming behaviors is prohibited.
  • Content that depicts or promotes physical abuse, neglect, endangerment, or psychological disparagement of minors is not allowed.
Misinformation / Disinformation
  • Misleading or inaccurate content that aims to facilitate physical harm, violence, health misinformation, voter or political interference, or manipulated media are strictly prohibited on Polywork.
Self-Destructive Behavior
  • Activities that may endanger your life or lead to physical harm are prohibited, including suicidal threats, intentional trauma, explicit drug use, and stunt behavior that could cause physical harm.
Doxxing
  • Sharing, either publicly or privately, personally identifiable information (such as address) or content that violates another’s reasonable expectation of privacy is prohibited.
Phishing, Fraud, and Deception
  • Contacting other users with the intent to gain access to sensitive or personally identifiable information.
  • Deceiving others to generate a financial or personal benefit.
  • Content offering cash gifts, “get rich quick” schemes or pyramid schemes.
  • Spreading false information or suppression of information is not allowed.
Selling Data, Accounts, or Features
  • Selling, reselling, or distributing community member data, usernames, features, codes, or other account information is prohibited.
Repetitive, Unwanted, or Excessive Promotional Messages
  • Do not send repetitive, unwanted, or unsolicited collaboration requests to any community member, and/or the admin of Polywork.
  • Sending collaboration requests that are not based on the community member’s opportunity preferences is not allowed.
Bots and Automations
  • Automations, bots, and scripts which result in the creation of multiple or fake accounts are prohibited.
  • Creating multiple accounts to post duplicative content or to create fake engagement, coordinating with or compensating others to engage in artificial engagement, or amplification is also not allowed and can result in the termination of your account and the removal of the content.
Spam and/or Professionally Irrelevant Content:
  • Excessive identical or highly similar content
  • Repetitive content, or content that lacks context
  • Sharing information that is believed to be confidential, including PII, or proprietary
  • Posting misleading or deceptive links
  • Contextually irrelevant product recommendations, product or job referral links.
Restricted goods and services with the intent to purchase, sell, raffle, gift, transfer or trade or otherwise gain profits from:
  • Guns, weapons and amunition
  • Pharmaceutical drugs
  • Non-medical drugs
  • Marijuana
  • Human blood, plasma and organs
  • Tobacco and alcohol
  • Gambling

Enforcement

Prohibited or illegal activities on the platform as outlined, but not limited to, the above can result in any of the following actions:

  • Warning
  • Scarier Warning
  • Removal of Content
  • Club Membership suspension
  • Suspension
  • Deletion & Ban
  • We reserve the right to limit, remove or edit a Club if users, moderators or founders engage in discriminatory behavior based on protected characteristics. We do not allow the creation of Clubs that are aimed at directing hate or attacking others.
