Software Mastermind Groups
I'm looking for more participants in a series of software mastermind groups! The first one went extremely well so I'd like to start more.
The idea behind these is that someone presents a project they've worked on with a problem they'd like the group to discuss (or an ask for general feedback).
It doesn't have to be a project that's live or "done". It could be a project that's very in progress or still in the idea stage. The discussion should be fun and educational for everyone regardless.
If you'd like to attend, all I need are days/times you are generally available and whether you'd like to present (either now or in the future). I find an overlap in schedules for 6-10 people and then send out a poll to nail down an exact date. These aren't regularly meeting groups so this won't be the same time every week or every month. Every group is assembled ad hoc for every session. The idea is that over time if you attend multiple sessions you may see some of the same people, but you should always meet at least a couple of new people. This should help everyone build a professional network in a meaningful way (and hopefully in a less stressful way than most networking events). Current plan is for each session to be: - 5 minutes for intros - 5-10 minutes for the presenter to describe their software and make an ask of the group - remainder of the time is spent discussing possible solutions to the presenter's problem
