Ultherapy

When I was preparing for Miss Universe, I tried a face slimming treatment called Ultherapy at Radium Aesthetics. The process did more than deliver a chiseled contour, it also allowed my skin to soak up my skincare greedily. My facial products worked better and I had a more "youthful" appearance as the procedure encourages your skin to self-produce its own collagen! I was totally amazed.

So when I was asked to participate in the Ultherapy campaign, I was more than happy to endorse the brand! The campaign had a cheeky way of promoting the "lift" Ultherapy accomplishes after the treatment. On a broader context, I was asked what lifts me up. My answer: easy! Music!

My #LiftFromWithin is music! Music is the language of the soul. It taps into our inner being and encourages connectivity, movement, creativity and harmony. Freedom to express through music has never been so important, which is why I picked up DJing during the lockdown. I’ve found that playing music is a great way to lift you up. It’s what makes people feel alive! In the same way, I have used Ultherapy to lift and tighten my skin in a completely natural way. The treatment encourages self-producing collagen, giving me a renewed, youthful appearance.

If you decide to try it out, @ultherapy.singapore is gifting a free night’s stay at Andaz Singapore! Vist the #LiftFromWithin page (tinyurl.com/liftfromwithin) to find out more! T&Cs apply.

Poster Girl for Call of Duty

The Face of Call of Duty: Vanguard

Surreal.

I am the poster girl for the newest release of Call of Duty: Vanguard! I now represent the world's best selling video game franchise... My face is associated with something so recognisable and legendary...

I've done my fair share of commercials but this one takes the cake because:
1) I didn't have to smile excessively on set
2) I had a stunt man coaching me how to handle a gun (how cool)!
3) I got to look badass
4) I look like Lara Croft (if she was Asian)

I love my job. Sometimes it's silly, sometimes radical, sometimes completely unexpected and exhilarating!

I'm leaving Singapore!

It's no secret that I've had a pretty tough time acclimatising back to ho-hum life here in Singapore. The restrictions still limit people to 2 pax for dine-in and music is still banned in restaurants.

Had I not lived a life of normalcy in New York prior to coming back to Singapore, I would've fared better. Ignorance is bliss, and everything is relative. This feeling exists because I've seen cities rise above the pandemic and get on with their lives - allowing businesses to thrive and carry on as they recoup what was lost in the last 2 years.

This all-consuming, non-celebratory, adventureless version of Singapore has been a hard pill to swallow. Humans need connectivity. They need some event to hold onto to make them feel alive (rather than someone just living through the motions). I hope Singapore gets there someday...

In the meantime, I've started shopping for winter clothes to brave the winter weather in New York City! I have no idea how to dress appropriately for what is said to be the coldest months of the year... But here goes... A new adventure awaits!
